What is Oregon Grape Root?

Oregon Grape Root is a shrub native to western North America, easily identified by its holly-like leaves and bright yellow inner bark. The root is particularly rich in berberine, a compound associated with a range of potential health benefits.

Flavor Profile:

Oregon Grape Root tea has a distinctly bitter, earthy flavor. Many find it palatable on its own, while others prefer to blend it with other herbs like mint or ginger to soften the taste. A small amount of honey or lemon can also be added.
