At Kootenay Wildcrafting, we are retiring the word "sample." It no longer fits the medicine we make or the intention we hold. When you open a jar from our Free Offerings Apothecary, you aren't holding a marketing gimmick; you are holding a handcrafted, full-sized therapeutic gift born from the spirit of the Honourable Harvest.
What is the Free Offerings Apothecary?
The Apothecary is our heart’s response to the abundance of the British Columbia forest. Throughout the year, we create small-batch, seasonal elixirs and balms—like our
Spirit of the Glade solid perfumes or Caregiver's Vigil eye nectars—that are never for sale. They are high-value, high-potency treasures (often worth $30 or more) created specifically to be gifted.
The Philosophy: Sacred Reciprocity
This initiative is rooted in Sacred Reciprocity: the belief that for every taking, there must be a giving. When you support this one-woman shop by purchasing the medicines you need, you are "giving" to the sustainability of this mission. In turn, we "give" back from our seasonal surplus. It is a cycle of mutual flourishing.

A Boundary for Local Pickups: As a one-woman operation, I must steward my energy as carefully as I steward the forest. To keep the Apothecary sustainable, we no longer fulfill standalone $0 orders for local pickup.
